What’s In My Pouch?

My Pouch is something that I carry with me all the time, whether on its own, or in my bag to hold my basic essentials. I do carry a great deal of products, but these are the products that I find myself using throughout the day.

My favorite Chanel Powder the LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Multi-Colour SPF 15, is perfect for a quick touch up, a light setting powder, and for me a good coverage foundation. It provides a non-cakey, luminous finish, but contains a slight, non-overbearing floral fragrance. The shade I have it in is N°02,but it was a limited edition product so I listed a similar item.

Along side that Chanel Powder, my favorite, go-to lip color is the Chanel Lipstick Rouge Allure . The best pigmentation, longevity and of course packaging that I’ve dealt with so far. The shade I’m currently using is in Pirate, and it’s the perfect berry+red satin formula that is also moisturizing.

I always carry hand sanitizer because, when you have to travel by public transportation for University or work, you may encounter germs so this comes in handy. Nature Republic has my favorite sanitizer formula because unlike other competing formulas, this provides a moisturizing benefit as opposed to making your hands feel rough and dry.

One of my signature scents is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball. This scent has a soft floral fragrance without being too overbearing or too musky. I get tired of scents very quickly, so if it’s a scent i’m willing to try then i’ll get the rollerball version. It’s quite rare for me to get a full-sized perfume because I can never finish one. The only one that I currently see potential for is the Roses De Chloe perfume, but 90% of the reason is because it has the best packaging i’ve seen for a perfume bottle.

Throwing it down to my all-time favorite pens, are the Muji Pens. The .38mm tip is my favorite out of the .5,.7 and .38 tips. Pretty affordable, but does not last a very long time. When it runs low on ink, or if it’s winter the ink tends to freeze up, but it’s always better to keep a pen handy.

The L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream doesn’t have the best smell since it smells like baby powder, but has the best moisturizing properties without feeling oily and sticky. Their other scents are also lightly scented, which is a major bonus since other brands have an overbearing scent that you can smell from a mile away.

The Glossier Balm Dotcom is perfect for your lips, your hands, and even when you need to touch up those dry patchy spots on your face. I tend to have a ton of dry spots, somehow more in summer than winter, so I always keep this handy and do a quick moisture surge without messing up my makeup with an actual moisturizer.

The bareMinerals Concealer has the perfect coverage and formulation for spot concealing, but is a little too shear for any major under-eye concerns. It isn’t anything special, but it’s very travel friendly.

The Bobbi Brown Mascara isn’t anything special, and isn’t too dramatic either. It gives a natural look, but clumps a lot. The wand doesn’t get a good distribution of product, so it’s kind of like one clump of product on a small section. I honestly probably only carry this because 1) it’s a travel size and 2) I love the basic packaging. I also never fix my mascara so it has to be one of those reasons.

Then there are the small random items I really do need, like my bandages and my business cards. Especially now that i’m interning, a major pro-tip is to have your own business cards because it’s a lot faster to network and share information if you can exchange a business card as opposed to writing it down and wasting a potential client or employers time. As for the bandages, those are pretty self-explanatory,  but I primarily use them whenever I break in a new pair of shoes.
