Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Review

A recently released product, Smooth Affair for Eyes by Jane Iredale has made its journey to me (NS), therefore let’s get into a review.

So first up let me describe to you my background with eye makeup in general. I don’t use any. Therefore I felt like it would be a better look to place some eye products into my daily routine. I figured either eyeliner or cream shadow would be my first step. I chose cream shadow over regular powder shadows because well, I have no idea how all of the beauty gurus make it look so perfect. Seriously, I’m not even kidding. Every time I tried to do an eye look, it looked like I got punched in the eye haha. That’s why this product saved me time and frustration.

I have some of the swatch on my palm^ hahaha

First up, this color is absolutely perfect and it shows up on my tanned eyelids. It’s a shimmery gold-brown creamy formula that’s surprisingly very long wearing.

I read some of the comments from their site and a few people mentioned how it doesn’t have pigmentation. The only thing I can see from that is that there is a formula inconsistency for sure. The shade I have “iced brown” has amazing pigmentation from just one swirl.

Would I recommend this? Yes I would because if you’re a beginner like me it’s literally fool-proof, but the price is what I dislike. $32 is very hefty, but this product will last for a long time. Also if you’re like me and don’t plan on using other shadows for a while then it may be worth it, but the Maybelline Color Tattoos are pretty similar, and ALOT cheaper.

btw (NS) means not sponsored!
